ASPD is down again. Well, that’s happened before (often for relatively short periods of time). But this time I also received an email from an admin there, to pass along:
Not sure what our issues are today, but if you will, please remind those who are registered at Home2 that our secondary site remains active. And if new providers.members at aspd haven’t yet registered at Home2, they may do so and we will try to get them active asap.

Consider it a public service announcement for those frantically searching the Internet for information about the status. Which seems to happen a lot.
Of course, I don’t know Read the rest of this entry »

The blog was suspended sometime early Tuesday, but is now back up. (Ditto for Deuce’s blog.) Thanks to those who inquired.
I’m still not sure — and may never be — what happened. The screen that came up when trying to access the blog referenced a violation of the terms of service, although I didn’t under my reading of the TOS. Of course, I might be biased.
But even how it occurred isn’t clear. Did a WordPress person run across it accidentally and apply an incorrect standard? Did someone report it to WordPress as a violation of the TOS? And if the latter, was it a civilian who objects strongly to P4P, or a member of the P4P community who objects to my blog (and Deuce’s) specifically? *shrug* Who knows, or cares? This is “just a silly P4P blog,” and whether it’s up or not — and why — doesn’t really matter.
The blog did go down a year or so ago, the same way, and then reappeared on its own a day or two later. I could (and probably should) have contacted WordPress to ask what happened, and that might have led to an earlier resolution. But this past week was hectic at work, and I’m lazy, not to mention a world-class procrastinator. No telling when (or even if) I would have gotten around to it. So credit for restoring the blog goes to Deuce, who contacted WordPress on behalf of both our blogs. Thanks!

when they apparently don’t understand the business, or even business in general???
Just one of those things that irritates me. And recently I ran across a prime example on ASPD.

I was thinking about this again after reading a thread on ASPD by a guy looking for a lady who might want to accompany him to a Cowboys game.
I thought about it in that specific context — a Cowboys game (season tickets, good club seats) if for some reason I could go but my wife couldn’t. But I realize that it’s not something that would work well for me.

One of the strangest categories of comments I run across on P4P sites arise from what must be a common client fantasy — that the lady enjoys sex with him so much that she gives back some, or even all, of the fee. Sometimes clients even report comments (likely apocryphal) by the ladies along the lines of “wow! I should be paying you!” (If true, a rather counter-productive way of complimenting her partner? Maybe because she’s not good at thinking of more appropriate compliments.) Of course, I assume that many of the comments clients make about that are just jokes, although occasionally I get the impression than a few might really believe that.
I don’t recall ever having that fantasy, and it seems a rather strange or silly one to me.

Some P4P clients like to think that we are more than an ATM or an anonymous masturbatory tool. That the lady — while she wouldn’t be there without the $$$ — does enjoy our company; perhaps even “connects” (to a limited extent) or manages “bounded authenticity.” Certainly many ladies give at least some of their clients that impression, hopefully without leading them on to think that it’s more than it really is.
Of course, there’s generally no way to know if the impression you have of the lady’s reaction to you is accurate. Conventional wisdom among P4P clients seems to be — there are times we’re fairly confident there isn’t a connection, but other times we’re not sure whether what appears to be a connection is simply good acting, normal/acceptable “client relations” as you’d find in many businesses, or an honest connection. Perhaps because of inherent insecurity on the clients’ part; perhaps because the lady’s thoughts and feelings are internal and ultimately cannot be verified. Hell, we don’t know for sure what friends, colleagues at work, or family members think about us; it would be unreasonable to think we could with respect to people we spend even less time with.
But, a hypothetical . . . if it were possible (which I don’t think it is) to know for sure what a lady thought of you, and spending intimate time with you . . . would you really want to know?

It’s been a couple of weeks since my last playtime. I could probably get away from work fairly easily. (Whereas things are picking up at work and I may have fewer opportunities over the next month or two.) Still have plenty of funds in my P4P stash.
Conclusion: time to stimulate the local economy!! Hey, somebody’s got to do it.
But . . .

Yeah, I know that ASPD appears to be down again. I always get more “hits” to the blog when it is.
I assume that this is just another one of those glitches that they’ve been having for a few months now, and will be rectified within a day or two, as opposed to some more serious such as the “interruption” in February. But that’s just a guess; I have absolutely no information about what exactly is happening.
You might try some of the sites listed on my “Other Links” page, while waiting for ASPD to come back. And there are undoubtedly other options. Perhaps even ASPD itself, in the next day or two.

I ran across an suggestion that is a bit out of the ordinary in most escort-client relationships. A lady who gives a “birthday appointment” to her favorites. Not advertised, not available to everyone, just to a very few who are regular appointments. Essentially, if I understood it correctly, she calls him and asks for an appointment. Dinner, drinks, and/or just some nice “adult fun.” It was stated as “no strings attached,” which I interpreted (perhaps incorrectly) as meaning that there would be no fee for their time together, public or BCD.
And her questions to the guys was — if a lady called and asked to see you, would you take her up on it?
