At a loss for words

I recently read a post over on Sarah Summers’ blog that I wanted to share.  As usual, her thoughts are an interesting window into P4P.

It started out with a nice description of a lady’s mindset while engaging in one of the most intimate of relationships; one of the better ways I’ve seen it expressed:

When I re-started my blog on WordPress, I left up my old blog on Geocities/Yahoo 360. Too lazy to manually move over more than a few entries here and there; there was no automated process to import the whole thing, at least that I could find.  But I left the old blog there in case anyone wanted to look back at it, linked to it on my blogroll, and even linked to some specific entries on the old blog in new discussions here.

But apparently my old blog is no longer accessible at all.  Some problem with a change to accounts/profiles?  Luckily, there was now an automated process to download a blog from Yahoo 360 and then import it into WordPress.  So that’s what I’ve done.  The old entries are here, and they’re readable, along with the comments.  However, two things that limit the usefulness:

• The links to those old entries haven’t been updated.
• The old entries haven’t been sorted into categories to facilitate finding entries about specific topics.

Both of those will have to be done manually and might be very time-intensive.  Not sure when I’ll get around to that.  If ever.
